This past weekend we packed up the car and headed as far north as we could go to bring our body scrubs, body washes and body butters to our friends up north. We thought it would be fun to share a little recap of our trip to Burlington, VT with you as it was truly one of our favorite markets we pop up at.
Day 1 ~ Friday
Since the drive from our Framingham, MA headquarters is about 3 1/2 hours, we packed the car late Thursday night so we could set out early Friday morning. As a small business ourselves, we love to stop along the way and support other New England businesses. So at 9:30am we set our GPS to bring us to the mecca for all that is baked goods...King Arthur Flour.
11:00 AM King Arthur Flour
If you love baking or making bread at home, we highly suggest visiting King Arthur Flour's flagship store in Norwich, VT at least one time in your life. This is NOT just a store that sells flour. The minute you walk through the door you are greeted with the bustle of the cafe slinging breakfast sandwiches and loaves of freshly baked sourdough bread and you immediately feel like you've stepped into carbohydrate heaven.
One thing we love most about stopping here (besides using the restroom) is that we get to see every single product that King Arthur makes. Most grocery stores only carry the basic flours, but King Arthur Flour goes well beyond those products. You'll have access to their expansive array of baking mixes, baking chocolates, specialty flours, and more.

1:00 PM Woodstock, VT
We wanted to capture the real Vermont spirit for our weekend away, so we stopped in one of the most iconic towns, Woodstock, VT. This town usually gets a shout out during the fall season due to it's abundance of charm when the leaves change. It's also a very popular ski town as there are some well known ski mountains nearby.
All in all, you just can't go wrong walking through the streets of Woodstock, VT and popping into the variety of stores that are just so perfectly merchandised. We stopped for a slice of pizza and some hydration before hitting the road to our final destination.
5:00 PM Burlington, VT
We made it! And to be honest, we were so tired from all of our exploring and driving that we checked into our hotel, downed a bottle of water, and went to bed by 7:00pm. We had an early start the next day so it was crucial we got enough sleep.
Hotel: We stayed at the brand new AC Marriott in downtown Burlington VT and it was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable, and the location was 100% right in the area where you can walk to everything.
Day 2 ~ Saturday
8:00 AM Booth Set Up
It's market day! We were able to start setting up at 8 am and since we've been doing this a while (since 2018!) we didn't need that much time. So we grabbed a coffee and got to the venue at about 8:30am. The first time you get to an event there is an excitement in the air among all the vendors and the organizers. We hauled all of our products and display pieces in, and by 10am we were set up and ready for the day!

We had so much fun meeting new customers and talking all things clean beauty. Our #1 seller was of course our mystery bags but we only made a select few. After that, it was our Vanilla + Coconut body scrub and the Grapefruit + Amber Blossom body butter that stole the show.
5:00 PM Pack Up + Head to Dinner
We are always utterly exhausted by the time the market is over and nothing sounds better than a nice nourishing meal, a shower, and an early bedtime. For dinner we headed to Farmhouse Tap & Grill because it was located directly next to our hotel. This is the place to get a burger in Burlington VT and it's family friendly and the staff are super attentive and kind.
Day 3 ~ Sunday
9:30 AM Head Back to the Market
The best part about a 2 day market is that our booth is already set up! We headed into the market for our 10am team meeting and then made a few more mystery bags before the market opened at 11am. The Sunday morning crowd came to shop and it was so much fun seeing customers that have already used our products and met us the last time we were in Burlington. The last hour is always a bit slow, so we spent time meeting other vendors and talking small business with some of our friends. It's so enjoyable to meet people in the personal care industry and we all agree, there is room for everyone to be successful and we can all help each other out.
Before we knew it the market was over and it was time to pack up and head home.
6:00 PM A French Dinner to celebrate the end of the market!
To celebrate all our hard work we headed to Leunig's in downtown Burlington for an authentic French dinner. You can find all the traditional French dishes like Beouf Bourguignon, Steak Frites, and some wonderful vegetarian options as well. This was our final night in Burlington, so we decided to get a few gifts for our family by stopping at Lake Champlain Chocolates. If you love anything sweet, chocolate, and delicious, this is worth a stop. They have everything from truffles, to bars of chocolate, to ice cream. We didn't try it, but we heard that Lake Champlain Chocolates has the best chocolate ice cream you can find in Vermont!
We had so much fun on our trip up to burlington VT and we hope that you found some of our recommendations helpful. We cannot wait for our next adventure!
