Shea body butter ingredients
We use shea butter because it is a fabulous natural ingredient that protects the skin from water loss and has a very creamy texture. Shea body butter is often marketed as non-greasy, however, shea butter on its own is very heavy and does not absorb well into the skin without a little help from some other ingredients. So we created a body butter formula that enhances the benefits of shea butter while creating a non-greasy and fast absorbing body butter.
The main ingredients in our body butter are:

- Sunflower Seed Oil
- Shea Butter
- Glycerin
- Emulsifiers (these are what help keep the oils and water from separating and also make the skin feel of our body butter extra luxurious)
- Vitamin E
When do you use a body butter?
After a shower
Body butters are best applied right after you bathe, but really any time your skin is in need of some extra hydration is a good time to use it. Because our body butter is super thick and has a higher percentage of oils and butters, it is amazing at combating dry skin and rough patches.
Mots people get really dry feet, hands, and elbows, so our body butter is fantastic at treating those dry areas.
Right before bed
Our second favorite time to apply body butter is right before bed. We keep a jar on our nightstand all the time so we remember to apply a nice heavy coat to our hands and feet so we can wake up with soft and supple skin. By applying our body butter right before bed, you are allowing the oils and butters to really sink in and work their magic while you sleep.
Whenever your skin needs hydration
The truth is, sometimes your skin is just dying for a drink of hydration and body butter can be used literally anytime of day.
